QUESTION 02
Explore the cross-sectional relationship between GDP per capita (current US$) and internet adoption in a selected year. An association is not proof of causation.

DATA LINEAGE / TRANSPARENCY
World Bank, World Development Indicators: IT.NET.USER.ZS and NY.GDP.PCAP.CD. Loaded live from the World Bank API for the United States, Germany, Japan and Hungary; the status line above shows the source's last-update date and the fetch date. Values can be revised by the publisher. An archived snapshot (retrieved 24 September 2026; 150 country–year records for Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, India and the United States) is kept for reproduction and as a fallback.
The browser requests the World Bank API directly, computes every comparison locally, and does not impute missing values. SQL queries (SQLite) and Power Query M scripts reproduce the transformations on the archived snapshot, for later use in Power BI Desktop.
These are exploratory case studies, not peer-reviewed research. The four-country sample is illustrative, not representative. No completed Power BI Desktop report (.pbix) is claimed here.
NEXT / RESEARCH BACKLOG
The intended second data collection will use the Atlas of Economic Complexity's product-level trade tables and documented citation requirements; any World Economic Forum indicators will require separate version, methodology and licensing checks. Neither dataset has been silently mixed into these World Bank results.
